Today was pretty lame. I got up at 9 to make some coffee and watch an online lecture and then procrastinated until it was late enough to grab some lunch. I ended up with some scrambled eggs, cauliflower, and rice that was all really good. After lunch we came back to the dorm and met up in a conference room and started right in on our second thermo assignment of the week. We spent all afternoon working on that until I finally gave up on the last problem for the time being and jumped in the shower since I felt pretty gross from sitting in a stuffy room all day.
After that I officially caught up on my blogging for the first time since before our trip until my computer decided to die in the last couple of sentences. In frustration I left to grab some noodles from the dining court and then came back and rewrote the part I hadn’t saved, which luckily wasn’t too long. None of us could decide what we wanted to do for the night and then John, Adam, and I decided we could try another attempt at bowling.
Naturally we decided to pregame, but after a little too much Nascar we decided to just stick around the dorm for the night. We had gotten ourselves in pretty deep after we each had bought a bottle of baijiu, or rice liquor, which made for a pretty hilarious night. It caught up with us pretty quickly and in a matter of time I managed to get my hand slammed against the doorframe and John ate a hamburger with no recollection. After it was pretty clear that John was ready for bed, Adam and I shut him in his room and decided that we wanted to go meet some people.
We quickly remembered that we were locked in our dorm since it was after midnight so we resorted to going down to the conference room to see if anyone was in there. We ended up meeting these 3 really nice guys from South Korea and talked with them for quite a while. We somehow started in on the conversation of badminton, which led to us making plans to play Sunday night at 8. After that and a solid hour or so of talking, we headed back upstairs. We hung out with Ron, which never fails to be entertaining until Adam managed to fall asleep in all of his clothes, including his hat, which was a clear sign of the end of the night.
