Today was another not so eventful day but the 6.5 hours of class felt like a lifetime. I looked around at one point to try to stay awake and realized everyone who went out last night was either doing the head bob or passed out cold. However, everyone definitely perked up when our Chinese teacher actually collected out quizzes none of us studied for and informed us that our final would be all spoken but we would have to know how to read of the Chinese characters. Looks like I’ve got to learn about 300 characters in the next 2 weeks, so that’s not going to go so well.
We did get some good news that we will have “Superbowl Monday” off as they call it here, so that helped a little bit. I even decided to skip lunch for a much needed nap but ended up not even falling asleep for more than 5 minutes. After class we all had a lot of work to get done but decided to take a break for dinner. Adam, John, Nathan, Bryan and I went to dinner at the Japanese Hibachi place again. I got some seafood soba noodles which were really good and they gave us a free fish on the house which we originally thought was a scam but we never had to pay! Nothing exciting for the rest of the night but will definitely be catching up on sleep.
